Razieh Kiannezhad was born and raised in the north of Iran. She pursued studies in fine arts and art history in Tehran, graduating with a BFA at Alzhara University 2001 and completed an M.A. in art history at the University of Art in 2004. Her area of specialization is ceramics, luster glaze technology and glaze painting techniques.
From 2002, while completing her studies, she began lecturing on ceramics at the University of Art. From 2004 until 2010, she was Assistant Professor of art history and conducted research at the Iranian Culture Heritage Organization.
Ms Kiannezhad's work is included in the collections of the National Museum of Iran as well as the Cinema Museum of Iran. Since 2005 she have contributed to many workshops, lectures, presentations, publications, and other projects. Her works have displayed at exhibitions and biennials in Italy, Japan, Iran, and Canada.
Razieh Kiannezhad has made Montreal, Canada her home since 2010.
